Our Philosophy
Our goal at Stonecroft Homes is to design and build homes that have character and a timeless elegance. At Stonecroft Homes, we successfully combine the craftsmanship seen in the homes of yesteryear with today’s available amenities to create amazing new homes that accommodate today's lifestyles. Our houses respect the traditional details and proportion seen in homes as early as the 1700’s, yet we push the bar continually towards creating a unique home plan that combines the best of the past and present. In short, we try NOT to write a new language in home design, rather a new verse.
We design our house exteriors to capture you at first sight. From the street, we create timeless facades by blending stone and brick, wing walls, divided-lite windows, and covered entries in our designs to interact with “viewers” before they have even stopped the car. Textured materials — like distressed brick, stone, wood shingle - skillfully contrasted with smooth materials — like metal roofs, batten shutters, decorative corbels, and wrought iron, make the house even more interesting and give even our most formal house a warm persona.
Inside our houses, we strive to create character and a truly exciting environment. Without sacrificing a feeling of spaciousness, we design our houses to have different facets of personality — just like people have. Some areas should be light and open and other spaces should be more cozy and intimate. Simply, we design our homes to mirror their owners.
Finally, we are never, ever satisfied with our last home. We take our experiences from the last home and apply it to make our next home even better. We take our talent of building homes VERY serious. We continually search the country for the best architects because we believe working with the same person over and over you're homes will become stale and boring. Sure, this research and development takes time and money but we believe strongly that with this philosphy we will build you the BEST home hands down. We will continue to innovate and let the others imitate. In short this is why our slogan is, "EXPECT THE EXTRAORDINARY."
