At Stonecroft the Journey begins with finding the perfect lot for your dream home. Our team will walk the home sites with you. We carefully consider variables from site clearing, sun orientation, and conditions lying under the surface. Oftentimes, a lot that may be less expensive can be significantly more due to additional foundation costs caused by the topography (rise/fall of lot), rock removal, sink holes, springs, loose soil, etc. By performing a lot analysis, we are usually able to save our clients thousands of dollars, and help them find a site that is best suited to their home design and lifestyle.
Let the FUN begin! After a lot is decided upon or at least a generality on size, the plan design begins. Here we will work together melding the experience of designing hundreds of homes with your dreams of the perfect home. Schematic drawings make way to a bid set and then a construction set.
In parallel, as the design gets to a point of a bid set we are bidding the home cost and finding ways to value engineer to give you the most for your budget.
There are three parts to the contract. They are; 1) Construction Drawings 2.) Specification Sheet and 3.) Construction and Purchase Agreement. Once these are signed and initialed it is time to apply for permits and begin construction!
Once the contract is signed and financing is secured, it’s time to begin construction of your Stonecroft Home. Key Milestones include: FOUNDATION | FRAMING | MECHANICALS | INSULATION | DRYWALL | INTERIOR & EXTERIOR FINISHES | PUNCH OUT
Before closing occurs we will perform a walk through with you listing any items that need to be repaired or touched up.
We will perform a financial reconciliation that includes any additions or credits to your total cost.
Upon completion of the above items — the closing will be scheduled.
