Client Process

1. Plan Review and Sign Off

  • At this meeting you will meet with David and Jason to review your final plan, make any changes that are needed and sign off on the plan. This meeting is very important due to the fact, not all plans carry all the details of your home. We will sign off on your copy, so that we all know exactly what we are building.
  • Time needed: Approximately 1 hour

2. Site Plan Layout

  • This meeting will be with David or Jason. It will take place at your home site and will give you an opportunity to select which trees you would like to try and save, position your home on the lot and talk about the general layout of the driveway. (The driveway layout will be finalized at a later date.) At this time, easements, drainage and set backs will be discussed.
  • Time needed: Approximately 1 hour

3. Design Orientation & Selection Introduction

  • This meeting will give you a good overview of the items that will be needed to be covered, so that we can build your home to your specifications. At this meeting you will be given a sheet which outlines when we will need certain selections made. You might feel we are asking for selections earlier than needed, but there are many steps in our office that must be accomplished before the work is really done. Any pictures of furniture or sizes of items you will be using in your new home would be very helpful to bring when you come. Also, any pictures of design elements such as kitchen designs or color ideas.
  • Time needed: Approximately 2 hours

4. Mechanical Walk-thru

  • This will be a meeting at the jobsite. At this time, we will help you decide where you would like your electrical fixtures, recess cans locations and discuss options for lighting. We will locate vacuum outlets that might be critical for furniture placement, as well as, security, intercom, plumbing fixtures and HVAC registers. This meeting will be with David and Jason.
  • Time needed: Approximately 2 hours

5. Pre-Drywall Walk-thru

  • Once again we will meet at your home site to make sure all framing and mechanical items are correct before we start to drywall. David and Jason will meet with you to confirm these items and point out quality construction items in your home that you won’t be able to view after drywall.
  • Time needed: Approximately 1-2 hours

6. Trim Walk-thru

  • So that we can custom build your closets and mantles per contract, we would like to meet you at your new home and layout how your closets, as well as, your mantle detail and other trim details that may be in question. David and Jason will spend time with you covering these items. It would be helpful if you come with a good understanding of your storage needs in your closets, so we may design them to fit those needs. We have several mantle pictures we can share with you for your discussion on that matter, or sometimes it is helpful to look through magazines and have them with you for any details you seem to like.
  • Time needed: Approximately 1-2 hours

7. Pre-closing Orientation

  • Time needed: Approximately 2 hours
