We focus heavily on planning before we ever break ground. This is where we catch the details that usually turn into expensive surprises later. Most families we work with save tens of thousands of dollars because we get the hard conversations out of the way upfront. Here’s how it works.
THE FIRST STEP
Understanding your Vision
This is where it all begins. We sit down together — usually at our office in Prospect — and really get to know what you’re dreaming of. No rush, no pressure. Just a real conversation about your life, your needs, and the home you want to build. Plan on 60 to 90 minutes

Lot Analysis
“Every lot has its own personality — slopes, soil, drainage, views, setbacks. We dig into all of it early so we know exactly what we’re working with. That way you get a realistic budget from the start, not a bunch of expensive surprises later. This is where we turn ‘I think this will work’ into ‘we know exactly what this will take!

This is where your vision starts to take shape. Once the design is locked in, we put everything in writing — specs, drawings, and the construction agreement. No vague promises, no gray areas. Then we pull all the permits so everything’s official before we ever break ground. This is the paperwork that protects you and keeps the whole project clear from day one.

Construction
This is where the dream becomes real. We break ground & guide your home through every stage – foundation, framing, finishes, and all the little details in between. Construction has its natural ups and downs, but we keep you informed at every milestone so you always know where things stand and what’s coming next.

Closing | Move In
Before handing over the keys, we do a final walkthrough together. We create a punch list, handle any last details, & wrap up the financials so everything’s settled. Then we close and you move into the home you’ve been waiting for — with nothing left hanging. It’s the final step before you step into your newly completed Stonecroft Home.
